4,919 PointsWhy not use max-width as a universal selector?
That way every thing on the page will be fluid. Is that common practice? If not, then why not?

14,738 PointsTypically when i am working on a site I usually target these DOM elements with max-width
img{
max-width: 100%;
display: block;
}
div,
section{
max-width: 100%;
}
Or anything that is already a block element i would ensure is max-width: 100%;
