Why we check the exact same value ?

In this video we can see he type

String storageType = StorageType.INTERNAL;
if(storageType.equals(StorageType.INTERNAL)){
 return context.getFilesDir();
}

I think in this block the statement will always be true or can someone explain why he did this

He'll be putting in the ability to choose between internal and external storage later. For now he's just hard coding it to internal so it runs even if the functionality isn't complete.
