why we don't just use youtube?

i know mediaElement but why we use it , why we don't just use youtube now it is more popular now and making sure that it will just work fine with the support from google?

One compelling reason I can think of is that YouTube includes advertising (or at least links to other unrelated videos) that you may not want to display on your site. I have often found myself distracted when viewing sites that have embedded YouTube videos, often to the point of abandoning the original site and never returning to it.

Also, I'm not aware of YouTube having the same handy rewind and speed controls.

Warez sites may be an example.
