Why we manually create a $table->string('name')->unique() and etc.

Why when we create a migration with Artisan this code wasn't added by a program

Especially it's strange, when $table->increments('id') is generated my a program.

{
    Schema::create('todo_lists', function (Blueprint $table) {
        $table->increments('id');
        $table->string('name')->unique()
        $table->timestamps();
