Windows, GIT BASH or GIT CMD?

Hello,

I am taking the Git Basics course, and I decided to use the Windows Git Client.

However there are 2 similar looking executables installed, with one called GIT BASH and one called GIT CMD. Until now I've been following along perfectly using the GIT BASH console, but is there any difference between GIT BASH and GIT CMD? Which one should I use?
