word_count challenge

Why doesn't my code work?

It works on my desktop IDLE Python.

def word_count(s):
    d = {}
    l = s.split(" ")
    for i in l:
        d[i.lower()] = l.count(i)
    return d
wordcount.py 
# E.g. word_count("I do not like it Sam I Am") gets back a dictionary like:
# {'i': 2, 'do': 1, 'it': 1, 'sam': 1, 'like': 1, 'not': 1, 'am': 1}
# Lowercase the string to make it easier.

split on all whitespace, not just the space character. try split() instead of split(" ")

I know that it sounds silly, but could please give me an example of a whitespace which is not a space?
