Wordpress or Website Design Track?

Hi, I've been "hacking" wordpress free templates for some time now to make my website (www.stephenjbradley.com). However with new design trends I'd like to learn how to create flat, responsive websites and have more control over what goes in them (i.e. hero images, etc). What track is the best track for me to go on - Wordpress design or Website design? Also any other suggestions for how to learn how to do this would be helpful, thanks!

Hey Stephen!

The Web Design track has a lot of courses that might be beneficial for you. I agree with Sylinic . that the "How to make a website" course would be a great place to start but I would have to add "CSS Foundations", "CSS Layout Techniques", "Aesthetic Foundations", "Design Foundations", and "UX Basics" to the mix as well to give you a well-rounded run-down on presentation, positioning, and the "why" factor behind both.

Keep learning and building things!

Hello there, Stephen.

Personally I would start with the basic HTML course, and as you feel confident in your ability to utilize HTML and CSS, them move to Wordpress material, because much of the Wordpress material, not requires but encourages a basic understanding of HTML and CSS.

Nick Pettit's "How to make a website" course is a great place to start!

Good luck, Stephen.
