Workspaces Working Weird

Every time I open up a Workspace, it is really slow. When I scroll, it takes so long to respond, I can't switch scripts without it crashing, I can't hover over colors anymore, and many other weird and buggy things.

I tried restarting Workspaces, restarting the website, even rebooting my computer, but nothing works.

Is this something that is fixable?

Out of curiosity, have you tried clearing the browser cache and seeing if that helps? Sometimes that will do wonders for a stubborn workspace. Also, is this on every workspace or just one particular one?

I've had similar problems. I usually close the window then reopen it, that usually helps, but it sounds like you've already done those steps. I've found that Internet Explorer doesn't play well with Workspaces, so it's better to use Chrome if you can.
I got tired of losing my code, so I always copy my code as soon as I write it, so I can paste it back in after I get Workspaces to cooperate again. Good luck with the fix!

Thanks for the quick reply! I cleared everything and tried everything I could think of but nothing worked. The issue is on every single workspace.

I might just use notepad...

That sounds highly irritating to put everything in notepad. I'd suggest you contact Treehouse support at this stage of the game. But Karen Creighton is correct. I too have found that Chrome plays nicer with Treehouse than any other browser. And so far I've tried Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, and Edge.

I think workspaces is not working this afternoon - I'm working on php - Associative Arrays, and when I try to view my file (catalog) in the browser, a completely different file comes up (suggest). Quite a few other hitches have occurred this afternoon too - and I really don't have time to contact support and wait for the fix - I'm just gonna have to abandon my course until another day - very annoying...

Hey David,

We do indeed have some ongoing infrastructure and back end maintenance which could be hampering performance. However, I haven't heard from any other students experiencing similar annoying issues as you. If you're still experiencing issues, can you please email Support with details, your Workspace ID(s; your text editor URL) and/or screenshots? Thanks! help@teamtreehouse.com

They're fixed! It went a way after a day or so.
