General Discussion

Would love to see some courses on technical interview prep. Maybe specific to languages or front-end/back-end

I think it would be great if you did some courses with code challenges for common interview questions and concepts.

This would certainly be valuable but I imagine of a difficult topic because technical interviews are done so differently from one company to the next. There's a mix of behavioral interviews, logic test taking, take-home code assignments, solution design whiteboarding, algorithms, etc. Companies will do a mix and interviews are very different.

If you're in the USA the book Cracking the Coding Interview gets a recommended a lot.

This is an excellent question, that had also occurred to me. And thanks for the reading suggestion Mr. Mckibbin. Plus you may have helped more than you know. I wasn't aware that "...a mix of behavioral interviews, logic test taking, take-home code assignments, solution design whiteboarding, algorithms..." was potentially part of the interviewing process. But seriously, this is a matter that needs its own segment of study.

Hi Paige Jones,

Recently courses on algorithms have been added to the library(Introduction to Algorithms, Introduction to Data Structures and Algorithms: Sorting and Searching). These courses are a good start, as concepts from these courses often come up during interviews.

Cracking the Coding Interview mentioned above by Eric McKibbin is a great book and I would like to recommend it too. I would say that it doesn't matter where you live however, it really is a great read wherever you live! This book is quite heavy on content, and improving on what the book teaches is a great way to make sure you succeed in the interview process.

To directly answer your question: I believe I've read somewhere that they are working on content like interview preparation, and algorithms are a part of that. But a great way to make sure that Treehouse get your feedback, send them an email to help@teamtreehouse.com

I hope that helps,

Jonas
