I'm am going to install XAAMP onto my BootCamp Windows 10 and I was just wondering will there be any security issues with my BootCamp Windows 10 and my Mac? Like, would someone be able to access my private files on my Windows and Mac using the server I launched with XAAMP ?
Quite honestly I don't really know how running a server works with XAAMP, all I know is I need it for Wordpress.org.

You're technically not running a server when using XAAMP or MAMP (or Desktop Server). These only create a local server. Only your local machine will know about the server. So, you're at no more a risk than just your normal internet connection.

Treehouse Moderator 145,860 PointsI'm not familiar with XAAMP.
I know those come with MAMP (which stands for Macintosh, Apache, MySQL and PHP. When I Google XAAMP I get back two differing results. The Official Website says the M stands for MariaDB and not MySql.
If you're on Windows, maybe use WAMP, or if you're on a Mac, I find MAMP to be an excellent choice.
** Note: apparently, MAMP is now also available for Windows now too. So, I guess it's up to you, but I do find MAMP very user friendly and sufficient.
