Hi, is it okay to install Laravel (plus VirtaulBox and Vagrant) on your computer if you have already XAMPP installed?

Yes, because vagrant/Laravel Homestead only creates a isolated sandbox environment from the vm image for you to work with, that's what's so great about vagrant.
