When I set up xampp (following the configure wordpress locally course) - it said, database insecure, you need to set passwords for root.... so I set passwords for root.... now I am locked out of my database and will have to re-install to get it working... but if I re-install and it is not secure because I don't have a password for 3 root accounts - what is the point????
don't I need to work out how to set a password for root???

7,760 Pointsjust worked out that I should have commented on your answer and not made another post... You live and learn!!! Thanks Matthew - I think my main problem right now is that I'm not utilising google and and making panicking posts when something doesn't work as I want to to. Note to self - chill out and don't forget to google before asking.... ;-)
